Why go for counselling or psychotherapy
- Many people can find life getting the better of them and need some support to understand why and where they are.
- It can happen that people know they need to talk to someone about a specific issue.
- Some people need guidance in taking the next step in where they want to go.
However there are times when we don't know why something is troubling us, so sitting down and talking about it in a non judgmental environment can help us see a way that may not have been visible before.
Whatever is going on, taking time to explore and understand our options is a positive step in improving our situation. By looking at what options we have, we are in a better place to choose what to do next.
What to expect....
When someone begins the process of getting to know themselves, change occurs within the person and by extension of that, they see that they have control over changing their view or situation.
For some it can seem daunting coming for therapy but gradually that will fade away as the journey unfolds. With the help of the therapeutic relationship that will develop, options become visible.
QUEST FOR KNOWLEDGE ...
In therapy there can be a mix of dissecting the day to day things that get in our way with a deeper exploration of earlier experiences which can have a greater hold over how we view the world.
Normally therapy is once a week and all details such as payment, scheduling and confidentiality will be discussed when you have your first appointment.
